Datsun & Nissan Z Car Show at Deer Park Winery & Auto Museum

Join the Z Club of San Diego for a celebration of Datsun and Nissan Z cars at the beautiful Deer Park Winery & Auto Museum in Escondido, California!

Whether you own a classic S30, a modern Z, or simply appreciate iconic Japanese sports cars, this event brings together Z enthusiasts from across the Southwest for a day of amazing vehicles, great people, and a unique winery and museum setting.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, November 14

• Car Show Hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Vehicle Arrival: Beginning at 9:00 AM

• Location: Deer Park Winery & Auto Museum, 29013 Champagne Blvd., Escondido, CA 92026

• Admission: $10 per person, payable to the winery at entry

• Vehicle Classes:

  • S30-S130 (1970-1983)

  • Z31-Z32 (1984-1996)

  • Z33 and newer (2003-present)

All Nissan and Datsun Z cars are welcome. Space is limited, so show vehicle registration is encouraged in advance.

Enjoy a day of stunning Z-car heritage, friendly competition, winery grounds, museum exhibits, and the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts from throughout the region.

Pat Vasquez was more than a longtime member of Group Z. He was part of the foundation of the Datsun and Nissan enthusiast community that so many of us enjoy today.

For decades, Pat shared his passion, knowledge, and friendship with fellow enthusiasts. As one of the founders of Kaminari, he helped shape an era of automotive styling that defined the look of countless Datsun and Nissan Z cars. The fiberglass body components created through Kaminari gave owners new ways to personalize their cars and left a lasting mark on the Z community and the broader sport compact world.

Those fortunate enough to spend time with Pat know that his contributions went far beyond the parts he created. He was a storyteller, a historian, and a genuine ambassador for the hobby. Whether at a car show, club gathering, or track event, Pat always had a captivating story to tell. Many of us listened with fascination as he recounted tales of working alongside Peter Brock and other pioneers who helped elevate the Datsun community during its formative years in the 1970s and 1980s.

Most importantly, Pat was a friend. His warmth, detail, and enthusiasm made every conversation memorable. His legacy lives on not only in the cars he influenced, but in the friendships he built and the community he helped create. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by the entire Group Z family.
